Mudbox T rex:




Starting with the standard provided T-rex mesh, i used mainly the Grab tool at the first couple sub division levels to pull out the shape, concentrating on areas such as the upper leg and arms where the muscles would be well developed and visible.



I did a similar thing with the facial structure, utilizing grab, sculpt, knife and smooth tolls at low sub levels to create the foundation for the details later on.


Using the same tools, just with varying sizes and strengths, as well as higher sub levels i elaborated on the features, slowly building them up, before using stencils and the sculpt tool to create the scaley plates along the top of the head and down the back, as well as the wrinkled skin texture along the underneath.
